One of the worst endings ever?

Or lack of endings ever? I mean, wtf...

I agree. They probably ran out of money and went past shooting dealines and had to settle for an unfinished ending. Also maybe they tried to set up for a sequel butt it probably won't happen. This movie didn't make ANY money

I probably won't get a sequel, but it is doing just fine on VOD and rental. Will definitely make a profit if it hasn't already (budget wasn't that large to begin with).

At first, the sudden ending surprised me, but it kind of worked.

They'd escaped the school, learned that the zombie problem was more widespread than they thought and learned that it was because of bad chicken nuggets. They speculated that a cure could be found, if they just found one of these nuggets. Yes, the fact that a chicken nugget was found several seconds after was a tad convenient, but in doing so the only thing left to achieve was to escape the arcade and start working on a cure.

The revelation that Wade was still alive and the escape was the last dramatic moment. Then they just had to find somewhere safe, and start working on the cure. They'd won.

We didn't really need to watch them working in a science lab, and then prescribing the cure to each child individually. That would've been dull.

It was meant as a comedy zombie film, and it worked on that front. It was always going to be slightly difficult to end when the main plot of the film was having them escape the school.

They were going to a place "....that kids hate"... Speculation on where that might be?

reply

I don't think it was meant to be anywhere in particular, just a "lets get the *beep* away from children" kinda thing

reply

Ah! Gotchya. Thanks. Cool movie though.

The ending was lacking but I wouldn't be surprised if there were a sequel. As to where they're going, kids don't like school but that can't be it. Maybe church or an office building. Las Vegas??

a lot of these zombie movies seem to have the same problem. Great setup, characters, action, but nowhere to go at the end.

I get why they did the ending like this. I mean they escaped the school only to find that this had spread and they didn't really have anywhere safe to go. I like that they kept this open for a sequel and never say never I mean it took zombieland 10 years to make there sequel.
