Beautiful Show

I will admit to being completely wary at first when I saw the original promo - I'm not really one for Canadian TV, Orphan Black excluded - but after now completing all 6 episodes, I can safely say this is one of my favourite pieces of series television in a long time. The entire cast was great, with Don McKellar, Kim Cattrall and Joanna Gleason being true standouts. The show also felt wonderfully cinematic as well which is fantastic given that Toronto is rarely ever given the chance to shine like this. Goes to show that with the right artists involved, you can turn around the stereotype.

The show really balanced that high wire act of comedy and drama and was able to showcase some human truths that are often not portrayed on serialized TV; in regards to the uncomfortableness that arises during the process of self-actualization, along with the inevitability of life and how we, as people, are constantly changing. I seriously hope it garners some great numbers, viewers wise, so we get a second season. I don't think I can live with that ending. If that's all we get, the show will remain a beautiful tragedy.

Surprise, Sidney

Gotta agree with all you have said. A better than average/intelligent bit of television
