Looks nice, but it's Straw Dogs and Eastwood's Beguiled.

People need to watch more films, especially the new generation who think this stuff has never been done before.

...hmm, the director doesn't ring a bell, although when i saw the trailer, both brit marling and hailee steinfeld are in this . i've seen brit marling in a number of compelling films - "sound of my voice", "the east", "another earth" and hailee steinfeld in "true grit" and "ender's game" so if I do see this film eventually, it will probably because of the two leading ladies.

Not just the new generation, there are some critics who are convinced that this is actually a new concept. It's like they have some kind of memory loss or something.

If you need to compare two different movies, then this film WAS original.

It's so obnoxious when people write off films because of vague andobviously coincidental similarities. The writers work so hard to craft a good story but then so indignant fans and know-it-alls nit-pick it away.

This was a decent enough film, but if you can't see the similarities between this and Straw Dogs, then you've never seen Straw Dogs. It's the same movie. And that's not really a criticism. It's more of an observation. Hell, Jane Got a Gun is pretty much the same movie too. And there will probably be many more like them in the future.
