This movie was disappointing, but that scene made sense. Han Solo in his decades of experiences with people could tell that Finn wasn't who he said he was. So he basically said 'Dude, Rey is gonna find out who you are eventually'.

"I knew I meant more to you than money" would be one example. Leia figured him out. That he wasn't the scoundrel he made out, and that he actually did care about more than just himself.

And that's without even thinking about it. It could have been about something that happened off screen not yet revealed. Could have been about Leia figuring out that Luke is her brother. It could have been nothing more than a throw away line that experience brings.

If he had said "bitches, huh?" Would you still be so outraged?

Are you kidding? You asked why Han would say that, I told you why. There's no great mystery. Unless of course you couldn't tell that Han was referring to fin hiding something from Rey, which was pretty obvious.

But maybe I'm just not understanding your question. Spell it out for me so I know exactly what you're asking, because at this point in time its looking like you're either pushing a bias or weren't watching very well.

I think you must be fucking high, brobeans. You asked why he said that, I told you one of the many reasons why he would said that. In fact any guy that's ever been with a woman for any length of time know exactly why Han said that. Or are you too drunk to read a scene?

Like I said I've answered what you asked. But I'm getting the idea that you either just have done bullshit bias you're trying to force by acting stupid, or you are actually stupid and can't figure things out with out subtitles and flashing neon signs.

Han could tell that A, fin was attracted to Rey, and B, that he was bullshiting about being in the resistance. Nothing hard to figure out there, unless you're dumb as fuck, or trolling because you hate women. Which is it? Because there's no secret answers number 3. Your dumb, or sexist. Either way, I'm done talking to someone like you. Enjoy your hate.

Context is that the entire movie pandered to feminism. Couple that with some of the laziest and hackish writing ever, and you get gems of dialogue like that.

Normally I would brush this line off as one of those inside-jokes using gender humor in the usual context of how a woman can figure out if her boyfriend/husband isn't being honest.
But in the context of TFA and Kathleen Kennedy, this line's purpose was for artificial empowerment.

Finn keeps making these nervous, guilty looks and glances away every time he is described as a Resistance Fighter and as being with the Resistance. It clearly showed Han looking at him while he made one of his guilty, sheepish, look away faces and could tell he was BS'ing. Han could tell he had a secret and when alone with Finn gave his advice that women will always find out about it. Watch the eye contact between Han and Finn the next time you see the scene when it is explained that Finn is with the Resistance.

"Women always figure out the truth" sounds like Han is referring to women's intuition. Whatever you call it, some people can read others better. They're probably picking up on body language and tone. I know a woman who can read a person from a quick greeting. I find out months later after knowing the person that the woman was accurate. Scary stuff.

As for Han, he deals with unsavory dangerous people because he's a smuggler. If he hadn't learned to read people, then he would've ended up dead years ago. Besides, Finn is a lousy liar. "Big deal" indeed. LOL.

I actually agree with you a bit here. I think it was mostly a set up line to explain why Han was not with Leia still. But because of the placement of the line within the film it actually does not have context though, as the OP says; had it somehow been placed after Han and Leia talked it would have made more sense but before it comes off as out of place and out of nowhere. So I guess I actually mostly disagree with you but it is by far not the worst offender for out of place dialogue within the film. Also it is worth noting Han is projecting his own experience onto Finn, because Han at this point (as far as TFA tells us) does not know very much about Rey and even less about Finn.

Meaning what? some people have super power perceptions? I think it is more likely that people think they read others well especially when dealing with rather transparent people; people also suck at lying convincingly and those whom pay attention will realize that and see through the bs. it is not some high powered perceptive skills, like you suggest.

Lol thus explaining why he has so many gangsters gunning for him in all the films he appears in. Must be his amazing ability to see through dangerous people and avoid such danger. You give him far too much credit.

Yes he is, but he is also a lousy written character as well.
