Is Disney destroying STAR WARS over George Lucas royalties? The Star Wars Rights

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3n3El923_Xo

On August 10th, both Nerdrotic and OverlordDVD shared published videos featuring the rumor that Disney may have deliberately sidelined the original trilogy characters because George Lucas get royalties on their usage; while Disney owns the newly created characters wholesale – meaning it is in their financial interest to promote their new characters at the expense of the original characters, both on film and in Disneyland’s Galaxy’s Edge.

References were made to earlier Midnight’s Edge coverage on the STAR TREK rights situation, as there are some striking parallels with STAR WARS – so we will have to chime in on the matter.

For the benefit of Star Wars fans, we will in this video begin by recapping the Star TREK rights situation for those new to it, before sharing what we have heard of the Star WARS situation specifically, and how the two differs from one each other.

I doubt the claim that Lucas is owed ongoing royalties from Disney.
