Lets be honest, this show was very much beneath Ariana

I am not her biggest fan but she is extremely talented and it was time for her to move on from the childish Cat character anyway. She is a huge star now and way too mature for this type of show. I doubt she enjoyed doing it day after day when she could have been focusing on her music.

The false maturity young adults often experience. Being mature doesn't mean putting childish thing behind you.

I agree and disagree.

As a talent, I'm still not convinced she's as good as the rest of Victorious or iCarly's casts, let alone above them. She might be quite talented but she's never been given the chance to show it, her acting on her two Nick shows was one-dimensional and dull because that's what the character called for. Her singing voice may be more aesthetically pleasing based on any individual's opinion but she certainly doesn't have better chops than her Victorious co-stars or Jennette McCurdy.

That being said, vocal chops matter in opera, not pop music. There's no question that Ariana Grande has become a huge star in her own right and her music is the first in Nickelodeon history to actually make waves. Ari's swimming in the deep end now with Demi & Miley, Gaga & Katy. I don't know what she's like as a person but her image as a genuine pop star is much too mature for her to star on a Nick show. Remember the utter outrage when One Direction was supposed to have a TV show on Nick? I mean, boy bands are about as childish as major Top 40 gets but even they were apparently "too mature" for Nick according to the fans. A sexified, R&B-tinged pop singer like Ariana, I don't think she'd be caught dead. It's not impossible for a pop start to balance a kids show but generally shedding the children's network is one of the first stops on their rise to prominence.

I also agree with you 100% that Ariana probably wanted to quit to focus on her music rather than doing Sam & Cat. Who would rather co-star on Nick when they can command an amphitheater by themselves? Rather than the drama or Jennette's wanderlust I strongly suspect the primary reason Sam & Cat ended was because Ariana got too big for the show.

Based on the promos that showed a teenager thinks negative is good, I'd say this show is beneath the IQ of plants.
