If you love strobe lights then this is the movie for you!

In case anyone plans on watching this film, there's a certain chase scene which features a very intense strobe light effect. Most likely it only lasted like three minutes but the scene feels like it goes on forever and the strobe lights don't let up. Then, just when you think it's over it starts again but not as long.

The movie is...different and right now (I'm still watching it) I don't know if that's good or bad.

They did replace the entire cast from the remake but it doesn't matter since (as we already know)it's not actually a remake, but a "re-telling" of the original Fright Night with a female Jerry Dandridge (Gerri Dandridge) who's not actually all she seems to be (yes, she's a Vampire but there's more to it).

I kinda wish they'd gone in a different direction and made it an actual straight to dvd sequel instead of a re-telling, then the thing with Jerry/Gerri would have been better.

I'll give Chris Waller some kudos as he's certainly trying to channel Stephen Geoffreys' 'Evil' Ed but again is that a good thing or a bad thing? Still not sure.

haha yep. The strobe effect was used way to much, during that chase scene and especially at the end (when there was no no lighting reason for it at all!!)

The Director definitely felt that the strobing added something (tension? just to look cool?) because it was lucky to have at least one scene with out some form of it!

Exactly! Anyone with a history of seizures isn't going to want to see this movie lol

Yeah, I'm at that scene now, and I'm tempted to just stop the movie right there. What idiot thought that that was a good idea for a movie? They did something similar in Feast 3, and it annoyed the hell out of me back then as well.

That scene gave me a headache. Did the director want to cause epileptic seizures?
