I can not say for sure but the superior you saw reading that was the Corporal who had on two occasions got on to her.

He said it was a confidential document and unless he was breaking some rule would not have been reading it.

Also it must be understood that this letter would have traveled from the training depot. How far and to where I cannot say. I do assume it would have been held in RAMC depot Keogh Barracks or at a central folder holding area which I know they use do have called I think AMD stats[that may have been medical only though]. This held documents various and many photo copy/ carbon copy in my day. Special dispensation had to be granted to get copies of lost documents.

I felt we were watching as many do the repatriation ritual. All families will hope against hope that they do not see their own loved one coming hole this way.

I also feel that film director was telling us that her letter was being read out so that we could feel the underlying love of a young woman for a family that had not LOOKED after her as they should and that she was indeed dead.

I do not see leaving it open as of any use although Lacey is not 18 really so another could show her at her real age [25] having done so much better. She looked natural in uniform and it was made to fit her so well with a headdress that sat so correctly. I must say that if the main characters were all non military someone did an excellent job of dressing them to look real. Berets being the biggest problem in media productions. Seeing real recruits being put through their paces is always of interest to a large percentage of the population who have given this military family some time. The scripted low usage of bad language by the military ranks was also pleasing. Other than Molly having become something like a theater technician in the field what use would continuation be?

I think we have been told she is dead.

If she is not then I will eat my sandwich.

I will eat it anyway all bets covered. Enjoyed but not the internal emotions.
