Her age and lack of memory

The video her mother had of the 911 call when she went missing stated that she was "four and a half". If she was returned 17 years later, that would make her 21 or 22.

Her mother also told her she was 23 years old. Which means she would have been closer to six years old when she went missing if she was gone for 17 years.

Whether she was taken at the age 4, 5, or 6, she should be able to remember her life before. People can generally remember back to the age 3. I was waiting for her to have flashbacks, but they never came.

So many movies ignore this. Especially post-apocalyptic movies where people must surely remember what the world was like before. But they gloss over it by saying something stupid like "I don't really remember".
