This movie was just awful! More time was spent on the mom dealing with her own psychological problems instead of the main character dealing with her Stockholm syndrome. What a waste of 2.5hrs!!!

Looks like you saw a completely different movie. The lead heroine was dealing with her Stockholm syndrome which is shown through attempts of her mother to communicate with her. And the movie is just 95 min. long.

The mother was a nutcase! The little girl probably went with the kidnapper to get away from her. Then the mother has the daughter on a water schedule? WHT?

Agreed. That mom was nuts. I thought the girl seemed much better off with the "kidnapper". He at least treated her like a human being (other than the being kidnapped part). The mother locked her in her room and fed and watered her on schedule like an animal.
