No computers?
Why wouldn't there be computers in this movie?
Also, if she didn't want to go back to her childhood family, why would she if she's already 18?

Marilyn Monroe
Oh shot sorry wrong post.
shareI'm assuming based on the landline phone and clothing styles and cars, this was supposed to take place in the '80s.
shareIt couldn't be the 80's because when Leann/Leia finds her baby clothes the box is labeled 1988 or 1989. I think her mother had become mentally ill over the years and lived in the past.
shareMaybe so!
shareAgreed. They seemed to be quite well off, yet their home was decorated in a very outdated style. As if they had never changed a thing since their daughter went missing.
shareGood point, QueenRuby XIII. That is very possible. Also, the fact that the mother bought self-help books may indicate that the parents are just anti-technology. I know at least two people in their 40's who don't have a computer, microwave oven, or cell phone at home.
shareIsn't that the sappy line they always mention on TV whenever a kid goes missing that for years after the parents don't change anything from when the child went missing.
shareShe's 23 years old. It is said in the movie. She was a captive for 17 years. So she must have been betwen 5-6 years old when she was taken.
