Who wants more Seasons/Episodes?

I don't know about you people, but I am totally hooked with these series. The whole plot, I wouldn't say it is 100% perfect without flaws, however there is great potential and I thoroughly enjoy it. I would be interested in how Amy "got better" being explored and who the prophet is and his background, I want to know so much more, everything!

I would like to know who votes for more episodes? Leave a comment.

After season 1 I thought that it was a fantastic 3 part mini series,,it had a beginning,,middle ,,and an end,,a complete self contained story,,,when I found out that due to popular demand they were going to make a second series I thought,,ok kool,,just as long as Amy was involved in the story,,as in maybe she went to go and see the undead prophet and it would be about her and her adventure into discovering what the undead liberation army was all about.
Then I found out it would be about Kieran and take place in roarton I was like,,hmm,,ok they did such a good job with the first series so I hope series 2 is as good,,,I loved series 2 but I still say they could have stopped at series 1 and it would have been a perfect 3 part story,,but "Spoiler" they was series 2 ended with them digging Amy up,,you know there is going to be a series 3,,and I am very much looking forward to series 3,,,sigh,,to bad we will have to wait about a year+ before series three starts.

Foyle's War (older kids,,13+)
The Vicar of Dibley
murdoch mysteries (older kids 13+)

(French)
Les Revents (Not really for kids,,but maybe kids 15+)

(American)

The Big Bang Theory

NON-KID FRIENDLY SHOWS

Some people watch the big bang theory and like it from the start,,,others find it annoying and particularly hate Sheldon,,My brother in law couldn't stand him at first,,,but My sister loves the show and so he over time began to enjoy the show more and more,,,and now he likes it quite a bit,,,and finds Sheldon to be quite funny,,,so it isn't a show for everyone,,,but those who stick with it,,more often then not come to find the show very funny.

But the fact that you are a Doctor Who fan,,and Les revenants as well as some other British shows that I like leads me to believe that some of the shows you listed are shows that I should check out..thanks

i am hooked too.
is there any news about whether there is going to be a 3rd season for sure ? and if so, when could we expect it ?

reply

I look forward to it. I like the characters...especially the mixed couple..the ex gaurd and amy..tonites ep, the finale, was pretty contrived, with so much timing and misinformation having to come together so perfectly...but it is so much better than alot..and I prefer alot of the british stuff anyway... They are not afraid to kill off favorite characters...it is not like the american stars who you know are going get out of practically everything, as in some of the proceedurals. It does make it more tense, but I don't like loseing people..with the brit being human(spoiler)..the whole cast changed..and then I loved the new ones just as well..but it is a transition.

I want to find out what happens to Amy,it looks like it was beginning to happen to Kyle BBC3 is going online so will have to be streamed through my internet Not sure worth me upgrading my broadband to watch BBC3

I definitely want more episodes/series. Does anyone know if a third series has been commissioned? With the ratings lower than the first series and BBC 3 going online only I can easily see it being axed however.

Don't know - I enjoyed the first season and liked that it managed to stay on topic.

In the second season they just threw in too many elements, walked all over what they had established in the first season and just made it another zombie show, throwing over board everything remotely metaphorical.

The typical pompous crap scenes to elevate things onto some embarrassing theatrical level like the father shaking the hand of the bf almost made me throw up. And such scenes nobody needs take away screen time from a plot which they did not manage to plausibly bring across in the six episodes anyway. They never managed to bring any kind of life into the group of undead following the prophet - they stay mere plot devices who behave like plot devices and are not even important enough to get any further scene after they have fulfilled their fuction.

This is typical british tv writing - lots of ideas but little sense of bringing them together, just like The Fades or Utopia or Orphan Black. Great potential wasted on a story which seemed to be written in a hurry without any revisions, with characters changing their agenda like underpants, some shocking turns which are generally badly prepared and dialogue which either is witty or reveals information necessary for the plot but hardly manages to do both at the same time.

I'd like to watch a good third season, but I am afraid they already moved too deep into the realms of a zombie apocalypse on fan fiction level to make that happen.

I was disappointed with season 2. Where's the allegory behind the story of season 1? It was lost in season 2...

I don't understand which story the writers wanted to tell in this second season, can somebody explain it to me, please? I mean, it was all about the second rising, etc. instead of a depth story like homophobia (and more) of season 1.

Anyway, it would be nice to watch a season 3 that closes the story.

As many themes as they could come up with, all at once and none of those with any kind of conclusion. Had they focussed on something as much as in the first season and left some side plots in the dark, they could have had a tight meaningful season and a good setup for the next season at once. Instead they just try to cover everything at once and add some "surprise" ending to have a cliffhanger.

The problem really isn't a lack of ideas but the lack of ability to get that potential onto the road. A show which is clever would not have to try so hard to appear clever.

I felt the same way. They tried to aim too big, too fast that the plot points became ridiculous. I loved the first season of Orphan Black & In the Flesh so much but then their 2nd seasons were all over the place.

ITF's first season was sincere, emotional and cozy. It was more than a zombie show in that sense because it explored interpersonal drama more than the theme. The second season not only tried to bring more action and mystery but also failed in doing so.

There was an obvious difference in the creative direction between the firest and second season. Most notably with the title credits they commissioned. The acting and make up effects of the "turning" scenes were abysmal that's worthy of a B grade horror direct-to-dvd movie. I hope they hire a better creative team for the third season in case it gets renewed.

The writers should also stick to what they're good at, like creating layers for the characters' relationships and background. The Simon-centric episode was my favorite because it served more of an allegory for an ex-convict / someone who suffered a mental break coming back to the family he once destroyed. Those were the parts where the show transformed itself into a thought experiment, and adds a moral depth to the show.

But I guess given the ending of the second season, it's too late to turn back now. And it's going to end up like the 3-4 seasons of Prison Break - by adding too many implausible scenarios to make the characters more special than they really are.

reply

This series is pointless with its limited episodes. 3 and 6- plain stupid.

If it's not broke, don't fix it ... this series is brilliant and would be a pity if they decide to add the typical 'filler' episodes to make a season longer, or add more writers who mess with the original idea.

reply

Yes!! I need more episodes, now!
