Does Season two get better?

I watched season one, loved it, (all except the lass who plays Jem) and then read that season two was a let down so I said I wouldn't watch it. But then, a friend said it was still worth a watch. After the first two episodes though, I'm not sure I can continue; it's so horrendous. Did the writing team change or something?

Did anyone else feel the same way and persevere through the rest? If so, should I give it another chance or give up now?

The second season is a little slow to start but it's really good, imo. I wouldn't have stopped watching because I trusted the writers to have more to say but I was worried at the beginning of the season so maybe you should stick with it.

The quality of season two is definitely lower, and Simon is so creepy. If you leave it off at season one, it would be much better since season two ends on a potentially unsolved cliffhanger.
