Big plot hole near end

Jackie calls 911 after her husband is shot on their boat, but apparently only the EMTs show up. No police are shown examining the boat for evidence or questioning an armed Jackie to see if she shot him. Jackie seems to then head straight home since her hands are still covered in blood when she gets there.
