Americans watching this

How obvious is it to Americans that have watched this, that the vast majority of the actors in it clearly aren't. I mean I'm not American & the accents sound seriously fake to me.

Republicans dont watch stand up, theyre busy watching cartoons, trying to see who's gay.

Gee, how enlightened of you. Painting all Republicans as homophobes. How original...

Aren't they all European actors? Maybe of different nationalities?

reply

they are all actors from the uk except for jean reno who is french great copshow that should be aired in the usa

Why are you defending this show on every single topic? The show is extremely bad and Jean Reno is really TERRIBLE. Hard to believe this is the guy who did a fantastic job in the great movie Leon. Now, he can't act at all. He seems totally uninterested in what he's doing, mumbling his lines and have no facial Expressions. Again, hard to believe it's the same man who played in Leon, The Crimson rivers, Ronin, le grand bleu and other great movies. In fact, all actors in this show are bad, but it hurts me to say, that Reno is the worst.

I respect your opiniĆ³n I can understand that you don,t like the show, but I like it and so has others people on this website. The show was a hit in a lot of countries even in france but the rating wasn,t what the broadcaster wanted he wanted the show to be watch by Young male and female from the middle class and the show was watch by older people especially older man it wasn,t the target they wanted it,s sad to cancel a show for those reasons that show could have improve and become a great copshow.Jean reno is an amazing actor and he did a great job in this copshow.

I liked the snow, Jean Reno is as always fantastic, however the dialogue was dubbed English and very poorly synched. It should hzve been released to English speaking-markets in the the native French language with switchzble English sub-titles.

Last time I checked, Jill Hennessy is Canadian, part French and is fluent in a handful of languages.... including French. And she's a very talented actress so I find it hard to believe her performance here would be an exception.

reply

I resent that remark. Are they going to make another season?

reply

I am watching it in the USA on Acorn TV. I really like the show I would like to see more.

reply

It's quite odd, and more because I know most of the main actors already and know they are not American. Why should they all be given an American accent brief? Believe it or not, Americans don't need everything to be Americanized. I prefer that it isn't. But maybe that's not why they did it. Who knows?

reply

I'm watching the first episode now. The "bad accents" don't bother me so much as I don't understand why they're using them. I know the main actors from other things. I know they're British/Irish actors. So, I have no idea why they're using American accents. Moreover, why would a French police squad all have American accents? Especially since Jean Reno is using his own French accent. It's not like we don't notice the difference.
