Inconsistent "camera crew"

It's pretty clear that the movie was supposed to be something else until someone decided that "hey, let's make it a mockumentary". The camera crew is missing most of the time. They suddenly appear, have a few scenes, then only reappear towards the end. Multiple times you see the MRAP filled with troops, but no camera crew. To make matters worse, you see the insides of the MRAP from multiple angles and still no camera crew.

I noticed this during the final shoot out. There's suddenly cameras in at least four locations simultaneously; in the back of the apc, by the reactor, in the open filming the guy fixing the engine, and on the hillside filming hans.

Also, where and when were the interviews (with black backgrounds) taking place?

They were all looking back at the events, but some would have to have been filmed during the movie for character continuity reasons. Did the crew have some kind of pop-up interview room that they set up and packed away several times?

In the time of this movie, there aren't people on camera crews. The crews are just micro drones with really tiny microphones and lenses. This allows them to "suddenly appear, have a few scenes" and then seem to disappear. Also, micro drone camera crews automatically edit out all scenes they appear in, unless it helps along the movie.

So, you see, there was a camera crew there all along. You just can't see it.
