Great acting, a bit too cheesy. But only a bit. Original, amazing music throughout. A movie's movie. 9/10.

You make me want to watch this movie now. I go bag on.

You're right. It's got the kind of charm that Fox Searchlight is constantly faking. It doesn't feel quirky, it feels delightful and playful and authentic.

There were a couple actors whose acting was a bit too cheesy; namely, the heavy piano coach/competition judge, the aristocrat friends when they were chanting "sonato, sonato."

But for the most part, I agree with the other poster that

it feels delightful and playful and authentic.

The lead actor and the doctor I felt were the two most authentic and perfectly cast for their roles.
