*spoilers* Depicted quite a bit of homosexual love but there was hatred

I really loved the homosexual intimacy depicted in this film, there was quite a lot of it. This film isn't very homophobic really.

People, this film is a European drama, of course one of them dies!
I expect this happens in other European dramas but we often ignore them.

I really expected someone to die. It's somewhat of a must in quite a number of European movies, especially in non-central countries.

I was most attracted to the straightish or, I hate using this word, bisexual, guy so I sort of preferred that he wasn't the one who died. Yes, that guy was the most terrible one of them all.

In a real life situation, we would never give such a person any sort of forgiveness nor would he ever be able to earn it.

A recent non central european gay film that ended slightly less heart murdering was In the Name of, but the characters aren't as attractive.

I believe this deserves ratings above 5, as high as a 8 or 9. This film isn't very homophobic really.

I don't know how you can say it wasn't homophobic. It depicted the majority of people in that little town as being homophobic especially due to religion (Catholic?).

I mean just look at how things changed for Aron. Before he was part of the "gang" and then when he started getting together with Szabi, they turned on him and abused him. His mother was also unhappy about the situation.

In the end Aron kills Szabi... I mean that just shows that even he was homophobic and is indicative of the homophobic society in which he lived in..

Aron isn't homophobic. He's a self-loathing gay man. There is a difference. There was actually a lot of self-loathing to go around. Szabi also had an issue with self-acceptance.

Sister, when I've raised hell, you'll know it!
