What's with the out-of-place Wilhelm scream?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wilhelm_scream
Did anyone notice the Wilhelm scream played in the movie? It wasn't even during a scary or tense scene, or in one in which a scream was warranted.
Specifically, it was in the part in which Hector & Jesse are tricking those 2 girls at the party into kissing them on the cheek. Approximately two seconds after Hector's line, "The thing is, my cheek is right above my testicles" the Wilhelm scream is clearly heard, just as Jesse is filmed taking a swig of a bottle.
The question is - why was it played? Some sort of inside Hollywood joke where the W.S. must be played somewhere at least once in a movie?
If anyone could be bothered could they be so kind as to confirm they heard it too? (just to be helpful, it's at approx. at the 29-minute mark if you have the 80-minute film version, or at the 45-minute mark if you have the 101-minute film version.)
Thanks! :)
