Spoil the ending for me
I heard it ties into one of the other movies?
shareYes, they add a new concept which is that the witches could build some doors to time travel, at the end of the movie, when the last guy standing is running, he finds the door, goes through it and ends up in Katie/Micah's house from the 1st movie. And sometime in the middle of the movie, since Katie is still sleepwalking and Micah is alive.

The movie takes place in 2012. Hector & Marisol, best friends of the main character (Jesse), end up finding the witches coven at Katie & Kristi's grandmother's house (from the ending of the 3rd movie)... There, Hector finds the passageway upstairs when he tries to escape. He ends up walking into a garage, and walks into the house of Katie & Micah (2006). He sees Katie sleepwalking down the stairs, and then proceed to cry out for Micah. Micah comes running down the stairs and sees the camera guy questioning him why he is in their house. Katie stabs Micah from behind and kills him. The camera guy runs back for the garage but Jesse (who had been possessed for the second half of the movie) attacks him in demon form. The camera falls to the ground and a woman (presumably Katie) picks it up and turns it off.
Katie dosent stab him from behind and the person who turned off the camera was a random witch confirmed by the director it even saids it during the plot on wikipedia
shareYes, I saw the ending last night, and while the person who turns the camera off is seen upside down, throwing off the viewer's perception, I paused it and bent my neck so I could try to look at the face normally, and it is not Katie. It is some older woman with blondish hair, who I don't know. Maybe Lois, Katie and Kristi's grandmother?
