How is it possible for Toby to haunt in 2013 when...*spoilers*

Whenever time travel is involved, don't question anything. Nothing will ever make sense

I had the same question. Easiest answer I could think of is that once he got his human body he went back through the portal into 2013. And young Katie and Kristie, having been there to witness it without the other coven members, reported to them that it succeeded and that if they keep doing what they're doing, the plan will succeed.

As a notable time-traveller once stated: "People assume that time is a strict progression of cause to effect, but *actually* from a non-linear, non-subjective viewpoint - it's more like a big ball of wibbly wobbly... time-y wimey... stuff."

Over-analyzing the mechanics of time-travel, bootstrap or pre-destination paradoxes can cause head-aches. Just accept the incongruity of it all. :D :D

Because when they made 1-4 they didn't think they'd do time travel.

But this also brings up another question.

Since Katie and Kristi created a doorway in their childhood home to the fleege's home which was built over K and K's childhood home to influence and finally get Leila through the portal to complete the blood ritual with Hunter, but all of this takes place in 1988, the years of Katie and Kristi's lives before Paranormal Activity 2, grandma lois's death and the VHS tapes ending up in Katie's storage, does this mean that these timelines are occurring at the same time or has this erased the entire Paranormal Activity timeline, making Toby already human in 2006, Leila, Hunter, and Jessie are Toby's 'minions'
who will likely aid him in his war against God?

Maybe this was the point of the VHS tapes in the first place? To literally open a portal through time to prevent the present from defeating the past.

This was Toby's entire plan all along it seems.

1. Toby appears to witches in 1930s to arrange a deal which Lois accepts
2. In 1988 Lois binds Toby against her family and binds Toby to Kristi
3. Toby marks the unborn of families that accepted deals with Toby
4. Toby obtains Hunter and prepares him for the blood ritual
5 Toby is human and will bring Armageddon to the World

When did the movies show him taking human form? I thought Ryan and co. thwarted his plans? Or I must of missed something.
