Katie Featherstons's Absence.

Okay I know this has been talked about to death. That Katie is not in this film, but was it ever confirmed why by anybody? From the producers or Katie herself? There could be a number of reasons: maybe Katie just didn't want to be in the series anymore, maybe she wanted to much money, maybe they filmed her part in the film but like any movie her part being cut out for time. Months before the movie was released I read an article stating Katie would be in this. So I'm just curious what happened between the time that article was written and the movie finally being released to theaters. Does anybody know?

I too was aware of the supposed promises by the Director himself that she would return, I actually heard something about how Katie fought with the production, I bet she didn't want to be apart of such garbage that wouldn't even be CLOSE to what the fans wanted.

Just how picky can she afford to be though? I like Katie but she isn't exactly being flooded with offers. I read somewhere that the fight she had with production was over money, not necessarily over the film itself.

Yeah, no Katie, no Hunter, no Robbie, kind of weird how they were SO essential in the rest of them but not this one.

Hunter is in the movie for about 2 seconds on that VHS tape from 1992. But he didn't even get to speak.

I was a little disappointed Katie wasn't in the film, too. It wasn't like her roles in the sequels were huge anyways. Part 3 and The Marked Ones are pretty much just cameos. It wouldn't have hurt a thing to give her a minute or two of screentime. Maybe she didn't like the script or they didn't want to pay her enough as the others have said.
