If Toby has a human body in 1992... Paranormal Activity 2 can't occur..

Because Toby was given a human body in 1992 which is went the girls are taught these abilities and opening 'doors' through time, that means Toby can't haunt Kristi or Katie, no possession can take place, and EVEN if Toby went back through the doorway to 2013... what about 1992? those were the years before the first Paranormal Activity movies
happened... ....but the first Paranormal Activity movies has Toby in spirit form... AND how could he be there when he was sent to 2013 the FUTURE then goes BACK to 1992
in human form and so the movies after 3 cannot occur! PARADOX! It BREAKS the timeline!

In short, Gregory Plotkin is the worst director of all time by ruining one of the most highly acclaimed franchises and should of stayed as editor, Christopher B Sanders should of stayed as Director because he knew what would of happened... and us fans
didn't get the closure we wanted... nothing... AND Gregory Plotkin even lied
by saying the adult Katie Featherston would appear with the best evil grin in
the business but she wasn't even THERE! 😭

i think what they are trying to say is that when toby becomes alive, nothing else has happened further. By toby becoming real, it erased the entire timeline ahead of that. Katie and her sister are born, but probably living normal lives and not haunted by anyone. At least that's the one way this can all make sense

You can't fight fate now can you?

reply

See, that's what I thought, but what about the house fire that supposedly occurs after? and Katie has memories of the fire, though recalled in a different way, but if the timeline is erased, does that mean it never happens? even though they found out about the fire on the computer, how can the fire be reported if it never even occurred?

We can assume that the ending of PA3 - beginning of The Ghost Dimension - 1992 Toby's Victory are all connected, Katie and Kristi send Toby from 1992 to 2013, Rey and Nelson families are deceased except Hunter Rey who sacrificed Alex Nelson for the final ritual to prove himself to the Demon, the Fleege family soon becomes aware of Toby via spirit camera, Leila is befriended by Toby in order to gain her trust, Toby reveals his true intentions as the days progress, a few days before Christmas Toby is provoked in order to appear to be 'exterminated' but it fails when he possesses the family friend who vomits bile on the brother and killing them both, Leila goes through the portal for the final ritual, Emily is behind her and is told by Katie and Kristi themselves that Toby has won, Emily fights against the Demon in his human vessel, but is killed and Leila goes with him.

But wasn't the events of the first movies supposed to be the reason Toby was able to gain human form? wipe them out, and the 'past' never happened, so the future proceeding the past cannot happen either, 1992 and 2013 are linked, but if you erase 1992 where Toby isn't in human form, 2006 where Toby obtains Hunter, 2011 where Toby gets Hunter to kill Alex, 2012-2013 where Katie sells the house to the Fleege family and get the fleeges into the house, it CAN'T happen if it's erased, Toby's human form cannot exist if his actions that allowed this to happen don't exist, see the issue? Or maybe it can... but it makes no logical sense, unless they explain it in full detail, release the screenplay for the film.

reply

That really does not work, because then nothing we saw in the other movies ever happened. Meaning everything the cult did to set up Toby getting a body in the past is erased. What you're saying does make ANY sense.

One of the most highly acclaimed franchises? The first 3 were good but 4 & TMO were both crap receiving bad reviews, if you like the series up to this point then good for you but don't give TGD the honor of killing a great series, it was already dead, probably the majority of people didn't even watch this one.

reply

Really? I thought 4 was fine, not as good but still told us of Hunter's whereabouts and his importance to Toby.

But yeah, it kinda was highly acclaimed by many audiences around the world, and the box office ratings clearly proved that it was big, the first THREE were successes.

reply

I'm sorry, what? Are you just delusional? Look up these movies on Rotten Tomatoes or Meta Critic and tell me these movies are "highly acclaimed." The first one has a high rating on Rotten Tomatoes, of 83%. But then the second is sitting at 58%. 3 has 68%, four is at 24%, The Marked Ones 39% and The Ghost Dimension is sitting at 13%.

The first one had a good rating because it was different. All the subsequent movies have been mediocre at best.

reply

Exactly. There's nothing "highly acclaimed" about the franchise at all.

My explanation is ... time doesn't move forwards and backwards as much as it moves sideways?

They're not necessarily in 1992 but some other plane of existence?

reply

Really?

Hmm, that's actually interesting because my brother suggested this.

What effect does it have on the present time, though?

reply

I couldn't tell you

But if you have any ideas, I'm all ears

reply

Hmm..... I got nothing.

Because we have time travel as part of the story then time stops being a straight line. It was 2013 Tobi who travelled back to take on a human form but that doesn't mean it wipes out any of the events of the other films because they had already happened when Toby went back to 1992. It's a bit like Back To The Future when Marty goes back to 1955 a second time where there was also a Marty around from his first visit so there were two versions at the same time but it didn't wipe out any of the events that happened. Therefore, from what I understand, there is a spirit/ghost/demon version of Toby in 1992 (the original one) and a human version of Toby from 2013. Hope this makes sense. Apologies if I've not explained it well.

Well, in my opinion, that's just what I personally thought... probably should of added that at the end... 😉

In which PA does Toby have a human body in 1992?

reply

How an individual feels about something has nothing to do with acclaim. "Highly Acclaimed" means it was reviewed well across the board, but that's really only partially true of the first one.

I don't give a flyin fck about time lines, load of unnecessary nonsense. I enjoyed the original but the sequels got progressively worse. They made it up as they went along. (I don't think Orin had any ideas beyond the first movie).

P.S I've just finished watching Ghost Dimension, utter cr@p.

It's all a deep end.

reply

because he probably went back to 2013 so as not to disrupt his timeline. Do you see?
