so did Andy Whitfield agree to all of this being captured on film?

I mean what was their purpose then of all the footage they had of him going through what he went through before he died. It's like they were planning to make this documentary months before he even died. I just felt like it was wrong to have this all on film to make a documentary; i mean shouldn't he have spent his time for once not in front of a camera. Btw i did not watch this documentary yet.

Yes he did and he was prepared to take this journey whereever it would take him.

It's his family doing it. I think they probably know best regarding what he would have wanted. And in addition, the doc was originally intended to be just about his struggle with cancer, not his death specifically- it makes sense for them to shoot the footage regardless, in that case.

Yes, HE was the one who made the decision to do this. Him and his wife. He wanted to share this important journey with the world. I believe he tells you within the documentary itself why he made the decision to make it. I've seen clips from it but not the entire doc itself.

I plan to go watch the entire thing because I loved Andy so much in his role as Spartacus and believe he had so much potential as a budding actor. And as a person, he seems like he had so much spirit, strength, wisdom, love and beauty. He seemed like a rare person indeed. Most people could not have done this.

It would have been an epic journey IF he had beaten the cancer... Instead it's a sad journey now. I thought he was awesome as Spartacus.
