Beverly Hills Yawn

Most of the clients are people so rich, its hard to care how much they get for their stuff. The bald owner is a horn dog creeper who uncomfortably flirts/hits on every woman which walks into the place. The blonde shop worker is an actress, so that instantly brings doubt to the realism of the show.

I hated this show. My husband and I always watch Pawn Stars and there is no comparison.

So much is a set up. I mean seriously, who would bring such a large bowl of soup out to the jewelry counter for their lunch. I just rolled my eyes. And when he only offered the man $80-grand for Ray Manzarek's organ and keyboard. Oy vey.

Also, what photog is going to throw a pair of earrings worth $110-Grand at a model to shut her up instead of paying her. Paying her would be way cheaper.

First and last show for me.

Cory is an actress as well:

And most all of the "customers" that come in are actors/actresses as well.

This show didn't even make sense to me.
A woman came in with a ring she asked $13,000. to sell. The shop person said, "I can't give you 13,000., but I can give you...." Dramtic pause and insert commerical. I had to wait and see what happened. They came back and the repeat what they just showed and it ends with, "I can't give you 13,000., but I can you ONE HUNDRED THOUSAND DOLLARS!!!"
Buy low, sell high. Isn't that what retail people do?
I also saw the model (who they kept calling "gorgeous," well...) who had Harry Winston ear rings thrown at her and the 96,000. for the Doors keyboard.
Just shy of 300,000. paid out, how do they make any money.
I know it is Beverly Hills, but come on.
Just stupid, and me just as much for watching it.

I felt sick after watching a woman buy a $64,000 purse. To think her bag costs more than most people make in 2 years... deplorable. I can't stop thinking how far 64 grand could have gone to some impoverish community. This show is disgusting.

This is the first time you've ever heard of a Birkin bag? You obviously have enough money to afford cable or satellite. Get a grip.

I found this for the first time last night and I can't stop watching it. That Yossi is so cool and being an avid classic film buff the stuff being pawned fascinates me. I wish I had the money to buy some of that stuff, LOL, but I don't look down on those who do have the money and are willing to spend it.

I love the show. My bf watches every single pawn series on tv, and I can't stand any of them...I used to like Pawn Stars, but I hate Rick too much to stomach it anymore.

Yossi does seem like a cool guy, and a fair businessman. I don't find him creepy at all, and he doesn't seem to rip people off the way Rick & co do on Pawn Stars.... It's fun to see what extravagant thing passes through his store - especially the movie memorabilia. Usually there is something stupid & staged at the end of each episode, like the soup on the display case or finding the studded thongs and deciding to keep them, etc - I could really do without that crap, but otherwise, my bf & I both enjoy the show.

Why does the fact that either of them are actresses bring less realism??? If you look at their imdb profiles they haven't done any work of value so therefore they would need day jobs!! And judging by their "acting" on the show they definitely need day jobs!!

There are Pawn Stars producers in the thread.

I just watch it for the movie props that show up, since the same TV channel (7mate in Australia) stopped screening Hollywood Treasure. These type of shows come and go on 7mate and also get stuck in endless repeats that it does get hard to care about them after a while.
