I know the film was bad but are they still going to make a sequel?
shareYes, the producer has stated on Facebook that they are still in the negotiating process of gaining the funds to make it and have already started the audition process for the antagonist of the Left Behind franchise, Nicolae Carpathia.
In addition, another Christian studio is putting out an unrelated adaptation called Vanished: Left Behind - The Next Generation. It was supposed to come out in February but they ended up moving it down to premier in September.
Is it like another reboot or something?
shareSort of another reboot, yes. Vanished is aimed at a younger audience being that it's loosely based on the Left Behind: The Kids spinoff books instead of the more well-known Adult books. It will have different actors for Bruce Barnes and Nicolae with the rest of the characters being original.
