2013 Results (spoilers)

Loved the movie and thought I'd do a little research after watching it. The movie covers the 2012 tournament. The 2013 tournament has already taken place and here are the results for the 8 kids in the movie:

Allan Kournikova - Repeated as Boys 8 champion (his third in a row).
Alexa Pano - Champion in Girls 8. Her third straight championship.
Amari Avery - Did not compete. Don't know why.
Augustin Valery - Tied for 65th in Boys 9.
Zamokuhle Nxasana - Tied for 8th in Boys 9. He continues to improve!
Jed Dy - Champion in Boys 9!! I was so pumped to see this!
Yang Kuang - Tied for 10th in Boys 8.
Sky Sudberry - Tied for 2nd in Girls 9, a stroke behind the champion.

Thank you for sharing this. I just watched the movie and wondered how they were all doing.

Great news of Zamokuhle Nxasana and Jed Dy (I really liked their parents as well)
And Sky Sudberry! What a tiny powerhouse.

I just received a copy of this amazing film through my membership in the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences and I'm very excited that I can watch this film again knowing that these fine young athletes are still "in the game" and improving. Thanks for sharing the encouraging news!

Alexa Pano, 2d place girls 9 (lost by one stroke)
Sky Sudberry, 4th place girls 10 (10 behind winner)
Allan Kournikova 3rd place boys 9 (7 behind winner)
Jed Dy, winner boys 10 (won by one stroke)

did not see any other names from the movie
