I was watching it online but it cut out right at the very end. It stopped when there was apparently a big party going on at Giovanni Bernaschi's place after the guilty kid had killed himself I really liked this film and would love to know the ending. Thanks!

During the party scene, Carla tells her husband that they (he and his partners) bet on the ruin of their country and they won.
After that, you watch Serena visiting Luca in jail. He didn't die. They give big smiles to each other because they're still in love. :)
In the very ending, (black screen, white letters and music) we know the car insurance paid a bit more than 200.000€ to the victim's family. That is calculated based on some specific parameters: person's life expectancy, earning potential, quantity and quality of emotional ties. The insurance companies call it "human capital".
