A Commercial

The previews I see on TV of Dianne look like the beauty product commercials she has done in the past. Same clothes, hair and setup.

The hair, the make up and the clothes... she's ALWAYS looked that way. Nothing new here.

I was cowering with embarrassment for the actors. Diane is not a singer, the romance was awkward, and, where did it even come from? There was no chemistry, or lead up to intimacy, it was weird and over acted. The poor dog, why bother to put something so offensive in this lazy film. Even the nightclub sets were like the coffee break room at the studio. Obviously came in under budget. Diane wore her own "usual" clothes. Reiner should apologize for this film. I can't watch these actors anymore, I feel taken advantage of.

Lighten up. So Shakespeare it's not, but it was pleasant.

I'm glad you liked it. I happen to love Rob Reiner's work, along with both Diane and Michael. It seemed to me to be a lazy effort. They could do better. That's all.

Yep susan-m-max, your comment has two thumbs up from me.

Schmaltzy, twee, "message", all the usual pap including, as always in American films, someone falling over in order to look stupid and as payback.

Unfunny rudeness and sarcasm which is supposed to pass as humour, ridiculous plot & holes galore, even the dog was part "Old Yella" at one stage - who writes this poop and thinks anyone can believe any part of it ?

Except for the "they kept getting robbed" comment - that was amusing.

Every cliche in the book, including a fat idiot who can't see his wig doesn't fit & isn't the same colour as the rest of his hair. Cripes people, cringeworthy is high praise !

This isn't for adults, it's a Hallmark ad with a very costly price tag.

I just can't look at Diane Keaton doing another "oh what's happening - why are you attracted to me - I'm just so vulnerable" act, it's well past it's use by date and wasn't funny in Annie Hall.

The reason why actors like DK & MD are in rubbish like this eludes me, but is a downward spiral that's for sure. It lowers the bar and cuts $$$ from the actor's value, not just in monetary terms but in acting credibility also.

There are so many amazing real life stories that remain untold, makes me sad to see crapola like this served up to the public.

Everyone could have done better, except for MD's hair.

Diane Keaton has long been known for having a great singing voice. She aired her vocal "chops" early in her career, in her role as an "aspiring nightclub singer" in Annie Hall.

Dianne Keaton has been playing Dianne Keaton for the last 20 years.

Her look, and the characters she plays, vary very little. She seems to be a vain actress who clings to her look no matter what, regardless of whether it fits her character or not.

At least she was not wearing a suit!

Its that man again!!

Diane Keaton is my all-time favorite actress. I love her.

But as a singer, she is far from adequate. She wasn't terrible. It's just that ... her voice would be OK in the church choir.
