Was it completely unreasonable for Santos to not want another man...

In the house he purchased and let his ex wife stay in? Not for nothing, he was a complete dick and trying to keep power over her was wrong, but the house was his. He paid for it and she lived their. I think it would have been better for her to bust her ass, get a job, and make her own way and end up with manny that way. Not threatening to take santos to court. But maybe I misunderstood?

I don't even remember that exact context of that issue.

But its like if you lease a house from a person, they have no right to control your love life just because they own the property.

So, just because it was his house doesn't mean he can control what males come in and out of the home because it was her residence.

Santos treated his ex-wife horribly, and undermined his ex-wife when it came to their daughter. He acted like an ass but at the same time I don't think any man would ever want to gladly pay for a house for his ex and her new man.

And Lytia was right when she told her if she's going to be with her new man, do whatever she has to do and be with her man. In other words if she has to bust her ass, and get a job as you said then she should do it.

I'm 50/50 on the topic.

Yes she totally needed to get a job, as did Amy Smart's character. I really did not have sympathy for their characters.

He bought the house because of his daughter, not his ex-wife. He was remarried, yet he didn't even want her dating? Some may want to keep control like that, but they just can't.

His ex said he is a good father. So he shouldn't have to be taken to court to support his daughter.
