Not sure what's up with the reviews. It is very funny movie and I enjoyed it to the end.
It's not an art movie, but a very funny comedy. And Elizabeth Banks in a very tight short dress. :)

I can't fathom how anyone could enjoy this, I could only make it halfway through (after she gets kicked off a bus and runs into a stereotype of Jews). It's like they went out of their way to be as insulting as possible to every group they could think of, reducing everything down to a gross caricature. There's literally a crackhead character named "Pookie" that sounds like he's out of a 70s Fat Albert cartoon.
I think even more insulting than the racial stereotypes though is just the plain lazy writing behind it all, this is like all the worst characteristics of a bad 80s comedy mixed with "Birth of a Nation".
I really can't imagine the type of person that would call this entertainment and I know that I wouldn't want to hang out with them.

I haven't seen this yet, looks pretty funny. Just needed to say that you're a freaking snob. By the trailer you can tell it's not trying to be anything other than what it is. Why'd you even bother. To get your superiority on? Get over yourself. 'You disgust me'. Please.

Well, I think you messed the point: The characters are supposed to actually be cartoonish, and gross, and caricaturish. Because is THAT type of comedy, and many people enjoys that type of comedy.
So either you were confused about what type of comedy you watched, or you are just trolling the board.
I think it is the latter

I thought it was a very good comedy and don't understand why the critics bashed it - but I don't listen to them anyway. Elizabeth Banks is one funny lady.
shareCaught it on Amazon as it's not playing in theatres in my area, it was a lot funnier than I expected it to be! Some of the reviews have been quite harsh. It's a comedy people, lighten up!
The real shame is that a dreadfully unfunny comedy like That Awkward Moment can get a nationwide release, but this enjoyable pic only gets released in a handful of theatres.
I finally saw it last night and laughed out loud at a few parts and I rarely do that when I watch a comedy so yeah it was pretty good. Banks is SOOO HOT!!!!!
