I just noticed that this year's Oscars have many similarities with 2006 Oscars, such as:
- Best Picture winner getting only 3 Oscars (from Picture, Screenplay and Editing)
- Ang Lee taking home the Best Director Oscar and leaving Spielberg empty-handed
- Ang Lee's film winning Best Score
- George Clooney winning an Oscar
- Peter Jackson's new epic film getting a few nominations
- Joaquin Phoenix losing Best Actor
- Amy Adams losing Best Supporting Actress
