No, No to any First Lady or Pres.

Sorry guys, I don't care whether you are Dems or Repubs, but stick to the political arena. I do not care to see you presenting at the Oscars.

That said, I think the current FLOTUS is n impeccable dresser, but I want to see her after the Oscar, not during with your, wHAT, Marine guard?

Go away! Please!

reply

It was absurd and no matter how much Hollywood loves her and she loves cameras have some idea that you would take a big chunk of the audience out of the show because she represents democratic politics and was just campaigning and giving convention speeches for a democratic candidate.

reply

impeccable? sorry but i couldn't even get past those HIDEOUS bangs.. ughhhhhhhhhhhhh

the woman had no business being there.. then again, the obamas are such shameless mediawhores and ETERNAL political campaigners, there's no way she would've ever turned down such a captive audience and rare opportunity to mug for the cameras.. it's what that woman and her husband apparently LIVE FOR..

Considering you've made 14, yes FOURTEEN, posts about the subject as of this moment, it's hilarious that you'd criticize someone else about what they live for and how they whore themselves out for attention.

what an amazing, abundant, and fulfilling life you have:

counting what other people post on IMDB...

you must be on shift at a government facility...hope it's not NORAD or something important!

reply

Sorry to break it to you, but for most of us, pulling up a posting history and counting to 14 only takes a couple of seconds. I'm sorry that you find it so taxing. Might I recommend Sesame Street to you? I think they even count up to 20 nowdays.

Counting fourteen posts seems less obsessive than posting fourteen posts.

The truth is mightier than the sword.

you're right, scott.. shame on me for actually using this MESSAGE forum to post MESSAGES.. what was i thinking? LOL

i obviously did not get the white house memo that dictates that: when posting unflattering opinions about the obamas, regardless of how honest/truthful/relevant such opnions may be, posters must limit their messages to ONE POST AT MOST.. LOL

Considering that this is not the first time this happened. Al Gore was there a few years ago and Bill Clinton made appearance at the Golden Globes

Actually, Gore was not nominated for the film. Only the director won the Oscar, he just brought Gore on stage to speak. Although, it's not unusual for documentary filmmakers to bring their subjects on stage with them. Clinton's appearance at the GG's was just ridiculous (regardless of politics).

Gene: "There's nothing wrong with Mother Nature."
Steve: "But it's not nice to fool with her."

I was astonished to see the final minutes of the broadcast handed over to the Obamas. Just days before her husband's sequester plan occurs, Michelle makes a plea for continued support of "the arts." It's strange that the evil rich donate to so many charitable, artistic endeavors. Strange, since they are regularly targeted by the loons in the White House for not doing their fair share. We will hear from the Obamas for years to come. Both enjoy life in front of the camera. Too bad last night's ceremony had to be spun off axis by more Obama messaging... It was an otherwise entertaining evening.

Laura Bush appeared on the 2002 oscars and Ronald Reagan appeared in 1981:

His address:

"Good evening to my fellow Americans, eagerly awaiting the presentation of the 53d annual Academy Awards.

It's surely no state secret that Nancy and I share your interest in the results of this year's balloting. We're not alone; the miracle of American technology links us with millions of moviegoers around the world. It is the motion picture that shows us all not only how we look and sound but—more important-how we feel. When it achieves its most noble intent, film reveals that people everywhere share common dreams and emotions.

Tonight I applaud all who create, make, distribute, exhibit, and attend movies. I salute the Academy for the influence its work has on the world's most enduring art form. Film is forever—I've been trapped in some film forever myself.
And as a former member of the Academy, I ask you now to join Nancy and me in enjoying this year's ceremonies"

neither reagan nor laura bush were there as mere 'award announcers'.. HUGE difference..

if a sitting president or first lady MUST appear, i can live with it as long as it is a classy taped message as that seems sufficiently dignified and above the fray.. HOWEVER, appearing in front of LIVE cameras just to present an award/open the envelope and utter: 'and the best 'pitcher' winner is' represents a horrid spectacle of cheap media-whoring and self-promotion in front of a captive audience for its own sake..

there's nothing even remotely dignified about the obamas using their white house pulpit for such shameless 'hollywood-style' self-promotion.. n-o-t-h-i-n-g!

They should stick to politics

everyone knows only Jews give out awards and choosing the first lady was just to try and earn some favor with current talks going on with Israel.

the entire academy is jewish, the head of the academy is jewish and a devout zionist.

so it's really more political than anything to try use some bullcrap honor on the first lady to present the best pic award, even Nicholson didn't like the situation but played along. "usually solo" speech, and he called her ms obama first time and just obama second time. since he really dislikes what the current administration became.

Hawk Koch the current president of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences definitely a hardcore zionist.

course in my personal opinion zionism should be destroyed along with the rest of the fanatical dogma's, zionist teaches gentiles are dogs, which is also listed in the old testament of the bible. But zionism teaches how to cheat, lie, steal from the gentile and use them which is how the jewish stereotype began.

all over stupid zionism, which makes actual jews look really bad

it's zionism that makes me embarrassed to be a jew myself.
