That was a GREAT performance by Jennifer Hudson...and I'm not even a big fan of her's.

They've all been nominated for Best Picture within the last 10 years. It's hard to get nominated as a musical

She was amazing...if you like ear-bleeding screaming instead of singing. She over sang as usual. The cast of Les Mis was the best out of all three in the musical segment! Norah Jones, Adele, Shirley Bassey and Barbra Streisand were also amazing

Yeah, I thought Hudson was total over-singing noise. There's just no subtly to her voice, nothing that even resembles anything pleasant.

Leave the gospel over-loud singing for the church revival. Really enjoyed the other singers... They were very classy, gave me goose bumps.

Agree-and that is hilarious. I wondered, since when does volume equal talent? Reminds me of Will Ferrel in Elf: "Im singing, I'M IN A STORE AND I AM SINGING (and I am getting louder which means better...?)" He may have upstaged her.

Indeed, She was painful to listen to, she has no class whatsoever. Thankfully the performance of the cast of Les Mis that came right after completelly eclipsed her screamfest.

If you recall - Simon Cowell used to criticize ol Jen back in her American Idol days for screaming instead of singing... There is a difference - and to me it sounded alot like ol American Idol Jennifer Hudson. Not her best performance...

After spectacular Dame Shirley Basseys performance she was doomed. Nobody cound´t top that and Jennifer...let it go, that song was sang by Miss Holliday already 31 years ago the way it should done, no one can top that.
