Haha Jennifer Lawrence you fell in front of everyone

Yes, I know it's childish, but I laughed like a hyena when she fell. It serves her right for being such a ditzy no-talent hack.

There, at the moment of her great triumph, she makes an embarassment of herself in front of everyone.

You can't make a better occasion for Schadenfreude than that.

How dumb was it to wear that ridiculously big dress? How did she even fit into her seat?

I laughed too, but it looked staged...for extra attention...

sorry, I have no idea who she is...

reply

No one knows who she is, because she hasn't done anything worth watching.

reply

I am guessing you did not see Winter Bone, Xmen first class or The Hunger Games

Hufflepuffs are particularly good finders
what the HELL is a hufflepuff

reply

Well you seem to know who she is Scarlet. When you do something embarrassing, and we all do, remember this when everyone laughs at you.

I will not be pushed, filed, stamped, indexed, briefed, debriefed or numbered. My life is my own.

reply

It struck me as totally staged as well. I think that girl is a kook. Which is a good deal better than being braindead like that vampire she's replacing.

"I said no camels, that's five camels, can't you count?"

reply

"Staged"?? Not at all- did you see the dress the girl was wearing? She fell, plain and simple. I don't know where all the ill will for her is coming from. She's a huge talent, is gorgeous, self-deprecating and very funny.

reply

You're right, that was very childish.

Jennifer Lawrence has an Oscar, ScarletSpider 87 does not.

Jennifer Lawrence is a winner, the OP is a loser!

You need something like that to make you happy, because, otherwise you have to focus on your miserable, loser nine-to-five life.

Face it, JL has it all over you in every area, so eat it!

I doubt JL would lose any sleep by the fact that you don't like her.

How does it feel, to think about her enough to criticise her, whereas she wouldn't know who you even are!

reply

Well said, d_henderson.

So what; she fell. We all make mistakes. Unfortunately for her, it was televised for millions to see. But she fell walking to receive an Academy award. She wasn't stumbling towards a parking ticket or restraining order. I'm sure there are hundreds of actresses that would gladly fell, butt-naked to win an Oscar.

reply

Jen laughed it off too, and made fun of it herself.

I like her self-depriciating humour.

reply

I think that Jennifer Lawrence is a great actress...she seems like a lovely girl...i lover her responses..."acting is stupid"..."i love Al Roker"...she is a real person and doesn't seem to care what holes like the op think about her...her performance in Winters Bone should be enough for you to give her respect.

reply

Except for her "i beat Meryl" acceptance, I agree buster....

reply

First of all, there should have been an usher there to guide her up the steps.

I'm not sure, but I think her "I beat Merle" deal wasn't meant in the spirit it was received (I vaguely remember JL explaining herself later in the press.)

It's not funny when anyone but a family member falls down, as far as I'm concerned.

I'd bet money it was NOT planned. Did you see Lena Dunham teetering up the stairs at the Golden Globes? They're both young women unaccustomed to high heels/long dress combo. They'll learn.

I have to say, Jennifer Lawrence doesn't strike me as a attention hog in the slightest. She's a fantastic actress and she's only going to get better. Would you prefer Lindsay Lohan?

I noticed when Merle Streep came out to present (right after Jennifer) it looked like she was picking her bum, and then remarked, "I'm stepping on my dress."
It made me wonder if she wasn't trying to diffuse the situation for Jennifer? Anyway, bless the audience for giving a Jennifer a standing O.

I have seen her movies. She's good, but still I have no idea why is there such a big cheerleading for her.

And her fall was not dumb, it was preplanned.
