Husband was better off...

Regardless of the emotional trauma, she was one screwed up gal; immature and unloving. He's better off without her.

She was sort of immature, but not in a bad way, and I don't see how she was unloving. That said, I think it was obvious they were both better off apart, the movie seemed pretty clear about it. They were very different, incompatible people.

I think she loved him before he blew off her cell phone call in her time of huge distress. Granted, he couldn't have guessed I suppose, yet she was feeling unwell earlier in the evening and he pressured her into going out that night. All in all, they were obviously wrong for each other.
For me, her character was passive and therefore easily swayed by others, but I didn't see her as 'immature and unloving.' That was the husbands domain.

I don't think she was really passive. I think she was numb after losing her baby, and started realizing there was more to life than what she originally thought, and was just absorbing a lot of feelings and emotions throughout the process.
