She's like, 10 years older than him...

Not that she looks old for her age, or that he looks young for his age...it's just all that I can think is she's old enough to have played Winnie Cooper and he's young enough to have been on 90210.

i am just 4 mins into it and i thought the exact same thing!

I don't think it takes anything away from the credibility of the movie though. He looks his age and she looks young for her age. To me, there wasn't a noticeable difference.

I can't get over how young she looks! She's totally believable for the role. Good for her! It works too because I only watched it to see the actress who played Winnie Cooper. She should get more roles!

I agree. In fact, at certain moments of the movie she seems younger than him. I was never taken out of the movie I actually looked her up to make sure that she was Winnie Cooper because I couldn't believe how young she looked. The aging process was really good for both actors. No overdone period pieces or super retro hairstyles. It was very subtle and well crafted.

She is still gorgeous and doesn't look her age - i even think Dustin looked just as old as her in the movie; they had off the charts chemistry ! I miss him on 90210- he is desperately needed to return - LIKE NOW!! They messed up getting rid of his character bc he was interesting, but once the writers decided to write him off they just didn't care where his stories went bc they replaced him already- SUCKS! but he and danica were perfect for this movie, you couldn't tell she was 10 yrs old than him in real life bc she has really grown into a beautiful woman who takes care of herself and it shows.. GREAT CHRISTMAS MOVIE BC IT WAS SO DIFFERENT THAN THE OTHERS OUT THERE.

Makes no difference what so ever. I've never even heard of him so I had no idea he was 27. They both looked great in their parts.

It’s good to dream

Watching now and that was my first thought!

I think the camera men and director did a fairly good job at transforming Danica McKellar from an 18-year-old to a 30-year-old over the course of the movie due to some heavy makeup and period hairstyles from the 1990s. The different hairstyle changes during the course of each year of Christmas Eve was appealing to me even if some parts did not ring true or hit-or-miss.
