UGH. Way too contrived, way too trite.

This movie tried waaay too hard to be clever.
I kept waiting to like the characters.
Even the directing was distracting, too many overhead shots, low angle shots, etc.
And what's with the ridiculous crawling under the table scene?

In a word; UGH.

"Do you like anything?"
Yes! I love good movies, especially romance and especially, especially romantic comedies.

In my opinion this movie was none of these things.
"Tries way to hard to be clever, explain?"
Its been over a year since I saw it and for me it was totally forgettable so I don't remember the details. I do remember saying aloud "Oh jeez, this movie is trying way to hard to be clever". Also capricious and screwball.
"And the shots really? Your gonna nitpick that much?"
When it is so repetitive that it becomes distracting to the narrative, definitely.

It was OK. Not really that bad and that forced IMO. I gave it one star more than I should just for the Conan the Barbarian lines.

Sam Reed, "What is best in life?"
Boy, "To crush your enemies, to see them driven before you, and to hear the lamentations of their women."
