reminds me of argo

:D

Argo was a piece of *beep* but our two clowns aren't anywhere near Argo level. Jungle Gold wishes it could reach Argo levels.

reply

That was the point. They were trying to do some remake of Argo.

Question to those who are adamant it was all scripted:

How much 'good tender', do you reckon, did the production team have to pony up to the ... ahem ... Ghanaian 'officials' - just to set that whole news item, & radio show piece, with the same (reasonably unpronounceable and nearly unspellable) Ghanaian minister's comments on both?

Sandwiched between The Principle of Mediocrity & Rare Earth Theory, you should see The Fermi Paradox

Are you kidding? This was so far superior to Argo. It's what Affleck wanted to be. Argo had to get like 6 people out. JG had to get 22 people out. Argo just went for a little ride across the city. JG had to go through 5000 checkpoints in an 8 hour timespan. With like 6 vehicles and 17 people or so, with tons of camera equipment. Lest we not forget the helicopter. Didn't have one in Argo I don't think. Far as I remember when they got to the airport in Argo, they had to clear what maybe two checkpoints, maybe three? In JG there was at least 4 or 5.

Now the real fun. Those people in Argo didn't wear t shirts identifying them as Embassy officials. Not only did our JG heroes wear mining shirts, George wore Arizona State hat. Sore thumb standing at attention.

And did Affleck even think of going to a hotel, full of ministry officials no less, instead of holding up in the safety of an airplane hangar? I didn't think so.

So take that Affleck before you make a POS like Argo. You have nothing on those producers and directors on Discovery. They made the film you strove for. Shame on you for selling out.

sarcasm off/

I'm sure the producers saw this train wreck from a mile away and decided to bail on those two dummys. I shouldn't call them that. They screwed up so much it made me laugh and forget all the dumb stupid luck I've had.

reply

It was a pretty rediculous chirade. The question is, who set it up, the producers or Scott and George.

reply

Argo and Jungle Gold are the same in one way. Neither show tells us the truth.
