This vs gold rush?

This is pretty entertaining, like the first season of gold rush. The mechanic is a good guy and the two gold diggers seem to actually think before doing something unlike the hoffmans. I just (reluctantly) watched gold rush and wow, that was stupid. Well the hoffman crew I mean. The schnozzle kid and dakota aren't that bad to watch but that hoffman crew is just plain silly. What the heck is going on with those guys?
They find freshly drilled holes on their land. Then drill more holes showing them how much gold is there and how perfect it is. And then bammm they discover that their land is really junk and they've wasted 10,000 dollars. I would be prettttttty pissed off. Screw that idiocy, jungle golds got fist fights!!

I've been to Ghana. Without offscreen security everyone on the crew would be dead driving down a jungle road with thousands of dollars worth of gold on the way to pay the bills. The got robbed in a staged for tv scam! Nobody from the US should fly to Ghana in search of gold. You don't think the Chinese miners have stripped it clean yet?

Interesting, my thoughts exactly. Discovery channel has turned into mtv1, very sad. History channel even has a gold hunting show now, but honestly it actually feels.....real. Well as real as reality tv can get.

think the show is OK. Its obviously a rip off (or spin off if you want to call it) from gold rush.

The biggest 2 problems I have with this show is

1) I honestly can't relate with the main 2 characters at all they seem like ex rich white collar pretty boys that have zero mechanical knowledge,that are cornered into joining the "regular" blue collar work force because of economic downturn.. I have nothing in common with these guys at all, and I don't really like them much to be honest. I can relate alot more to the hoffmans that's for sure.

2) How these two guys talk about being major broke and can barely pay for anything yet they have HUGE houses and nice vehicles, can afford to fly n back and forth,600$ iphones and yet they have a broke family. It also bugs me that they have no money at all yet their unemployed wifes call them pretty much every episode and bug them for money.

I know if I was as broke as they say they are, I would make a few compromises and sell a few things. Maybe downgrade my mansion? sell a vehicle or two? or hey I have a mind blowing idea, maybe my wife could get a job? ... but agian thats just how I feel.

I think the only reason I even watch this show is because I love gold rush.. I know its not because of the main characters.. thats for sure.

You can't compare these guys to the Gold Rush guys

Gold Rush guys had 1000 ounces 1 season

These guys haven't even mined like 1 ounce yet!! 
