I watched this on netflix tonight. The movie blew me away. I've always wanted to backpack in Copenhagen, this movie made me fall in love with the city. Great performance by gethin and the young lady who played Effie. Awesome soundtrack too.

This was the exception. Unexpected, fresh story!
Yeah Netflix is a mixed bag most of the time but it recommended this movie to me and I'm so glad I gave it a chance! It was wonderful and it really stays with you. I watched it a week ago and I still think about it. I think I was surprised that I got to like the main character William as the movie progressed. I know that was the point but he was such a d*** that I didn't think he could make the transformation into a decent human being but he sold me. The chemistry between him and Effy was so intense and the ups and downs of their time together really kept me engaged. The only character I couldn't stand was his friend. I know he was there to move the story along but man was he annoying. He was supposedly the "good guy" and William was the jerk (which he was in the beginning) but then you see he's just as bad and completely whiny and self-absorbed. Not sure others will agree but this was my opinion of him. Anyway wonderful movie..I wish it kept going..I wanted to see what else would happen or just have Effy and William hang out more. I felt like I was there with them.
