Not as good as the first.

The plot was dumb, and there was only about 5 minutes of Namiko.....

They both have their strengths and weaknesses. I will say this, I thought it was a HUGE mistake to go the bloodless route for Ninja 2. The blood spray during the katana fights in the first film was a large part of it's style and charm.

Who said: "hey this is a great plot idea? Seriously? Then who was the idiot that seconded that notion? And why would the actor go through with it? Yes; I am happy to see a martial arts movie being made! We have had a serious emptiness outside low budget *beep* Hong Kong films! But Ninja one was great! Why can't they expand on the idea instead of scaping it and just making a mindless martial art movie. I haven't seen it yet, I will probably like it, but the storyline is stupid! That I won't like!

And the first one sucked. I find these very disappointing though there were some really good fight scenes in this (dojo, bar fight, etc). Adkins is a very good martial artist. But I notice whenever he plays a good guy, his performances and movies are weak. He deserves better than this b.s. We need less Casey and more Boyka.

Totally agree with you. Ninja 2 is way better!

The first one is no where near as good as part 2 Scott was a beast as Casey to say he only acts good when he plays bad guys is BS ninja 2 is the best martial arts movie in a long time I thought it was better then the raid and all of the *beep* ong bak and ip man sequels scott adkins is the best screen fighter today period!! Support ninja:shadow of a tear and we will get more boyka and ninja!!

Ok. Yeah, put the pipe down, son. Better than Ip Man or The Raid? Nope. Sorry. Ninja 2 was good but nowhere near as good a movie as those. I will say Adkins is an amazing performer and Ninja 2 did have a lot of good action but story, character and acting-wise it was very weak.

And what great acting have you seen Adkins do where he plays a hero?? His screen presence and charisma are basically non-existent when he's a good guy. You do know that good acting means actual "acting" and not just kicking someone through a wooden door right???

This movie was awesome,Scott gave a kick ass performance. I would have liked to see more of Namiko too,but this movie is still great

This was twice as good as the first film in every way imaginable.

"You are tearing me apart, Lisa!"" The Room..a cinematic masterpiece.

Seriously? To me Shadow of a tear was way better. The first one was ok, but more in a comic book style with a bit too silly costumes and such.

The new one is a lot more realistic and in the style of the old-school martial arts movies which I love. Also the fight scenes was better, so awesome. I hope there will be a third one and that they keep it in this style.

I thought this was significantly better than the first also. The plot is secondary in these type of films - it's simply a device to get from one fight scene to the next and in that regard this film succeeded. The action was almost non-stop and the fight scenes are some of the best I've seen.
