he didnt wear gloves when wiping?

I'm not a nurse or anything like that, but I would think he is required to wear gloves while wiping

Speaking as a care giver, it all depends on the company you work for. A lot of places are more lenient, especially private in home care, which doesn't have to abide ministry standards. It's a personal preference, really. I care for people much more dependent than Trevor (who can't use a toilet, and are non verbal), and I usually do, but other some of the other staff I work don't, and prefer just to wash their hands before and after, because the gloves are uncomfortable...which I'm not gonna lie, they are, and a waste of garbage, in my opinion. When working verbal people, like Trevor, I always ask first if they want me to use gloves or not, because I feel it's courteous to them, and some people don't like the feeling of gloves on their skin.

I'm a support worker and 100% every time I wear gloves when helping with personal care. It doesn't matter if you wash your hands before and after - you should always wear gloves.
