Craig Roberts GOOD Selena Gomez No

How good of an actor is Craig Roberts? Wow, really got lured & and attached to his character, despite being a douchebag. He really brought charm, and innocence to this character, whereas Selena Gomez does what she does best: unappealing, uninteresting, and worthless acting. She tainted what was a brilliant film with the talents of Roberts & Rudd.

Honestly, I mean she was just kind of there. She didn't ruin the movie... but she definitely didn't add much to it.

But without her, Trevor wouldn't have developed. He wouldn't have asked a girl out, or gone on a dinner date. Or even get his first kiss and phone number.

It wasn't a great performance. But it didn't have to be. She wasn't there to steal the show from Rudd and Roberts. I thought she played her role well.

Agree, she wasn't bad at all but also didn't "wow" me.

But, maybe she wasn't supposed to? Maybe that wasn't what the director wanted.

This site is always trying to undermine her acting abilities. The same thing was said about her 5 min role in rudderless... she clearly did amazing if you guys are talking about the role.

reply

Well... If you use that logic then Tommy Wiseau should be the greatest actor of the history.

Who?

Oh, you're one of today's lucky ten thousand (https://xkcd.com/1053/)

You should check out The Room, one of the worst films ever made, but hilarious at the same time: The Room (2003).

Although, if you don't want to watch the whole thing, including the boring bits, you can watch The Nostalgia Critic's review of The Room, which highlights and comments on the most absurd bits, and gives a good idea of the movie: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tri9i3WtXLc

Enjoy!

I thought Gomez was okay. The role is pretty thin and she did fine, not amazing or anything but she wasn't distracting.

reply

she acted like a rated R version o Alex Russo lol!

reply

Honestly, I think she did really well, her role didn't give her too much to 'wow' us with.

'You're saying that that's a real person...underneath?'

reply

I think they both did very well, however Paul Rudd pulled the best performance... Selena's character was meant to be a little "too cool for school" and she pulled that off fine

We don't have a dog. That was just some really violent sex.

I know this is an old post, but I just saw the film.

I thought Gomez did a good job with her character. I took a bus trip across country when I was in high school, and I sat next to a girl who was just like her. It was pretty spot on in my opinion.

It isn't like she was given a prime leading role with a ton of depth to act with.
