If your soldier using explosives that set a vehicle on fire, and the enemy remains in (or moves into) proximity of said vehicle and dies in the resulting explosion, is the soldier who used the explosives credited for the death?

Someday you will die somehow and something's gonna steal your carbon...

My buddy Doug, who calls himself "The Overlord of XCOM," says that he doesn't think it counts as a kill. No credit given.
