The biggest flaw in this movie

Where was the cool jazz score? The movie had some snippets of Vince Guaraldi's
Peanuts-themed music, but the rest of the score had the usual grandiose John Williams-type stuff that's featured in just about every other recent movie. The music was an unexpected and charming feature of the early TV specials.

Nobody answer in 5 days, you have your answer why... The score is awesome and we are in 2015-16 it fits perfectly !

Last Movies: - CA vs IM Civil War: 5,5/10
- The Huntman: 6,5/10
- Batman v Superman: 9/10

So just because it's 2015-2016, we have to accept insipid, uninspired movie music instead of something more sophisticated? Good grief.

It is a bit odd considering how otherwise faithful it was. There were no overt attempts to "modernize it". The kids aren't staring at their iPhones, Snoopy isn't typing away on a laptop. Other than the modern 3D-style computer animation, this could've been released in the 60s-80s.

The score is indicative of the film's focus -- the late 70s hyper-marketed Peanuts vs the cool and melancholy cartoons of the 60s and early 70s. The score is serviceable but it's certainly missing that old charm.

Yes, one reason the movie didn't score higher. The creators probably figured the kiddies couldn't handke the jazz score overlooking the fact the half, if not most, of the audience would be adults.

I missed hearing it, too. It was odd not having it.
