Is there going to be a American release?

I remember the cartoon this was based on from my childhood. I want to see this. Will there be a American Release of this? Japan should not be the only ones to see this.

Hope it gets a worldwide release as it looks amazing and deserves to be seen on the big screen.

If it doesn't I'll have to wait for the Japanese bluray release and hope it has English subtitles because I have to see this!

I truly hope American audiences will be able to see this in the near future. Been looking forward to this since imagi had announced plans to do a CGI movie a few years back. Was sadden to here they constantly were coming up with problems that prevented them from finishing their version which looked awesome from the teaser trailers. May be after "Gatchaman" hits theaters worldwide, they will finally get their chance. Been 42 years in the making. Gokouun o inorimasu!

It might be a blessing in disguise that Imagi's version fell through. I'd rather see Gatchaman done by the Japanese, and to be honest, I am not a fan of CGI toons and I am intrigued by this live action version.

Whose idea was it for the word "Lisp" to have an "S" in it?

Why would Edgar Wright be a good choice for a director? He does comedies and Gatcahman is not a comedy. Scott Pilgram is also a comedy and the action scenes were not done by him but by Brad Allan who was a former member of the Jackie Chan team.

If there is ever a US adaptation of it I hope that it would be of Gatchaman and not one of the bastardized US versions which also whitewashed all of the characters making people incorrectly believe that the characters were white and not Asian.

I will see it on the big screen in Montreal August 6th in the FantASIA film festival!

A festival dedicated to genre films from Asia and everywhere else.
