This movie was great. Hell of alot better than Dragonball Evolution. I love the cast. Villains are great. he action is good and the effects are great too. great work. IMDB underrated this movie.

Yeah, the rating's rather too low, it deserves a 6.5 at least.

This is honestly one of the better modern tokusatsu films I've seen recently. The production values are pretty ace, the adaptation is pretty solid and the cast do a fine job (the dude playing Joe was certainly enjoying himself). However, I do have to agree with the criticism of the middle act's slowness, as well as the plot revolving entirely around Ken and George.

I'd certainly want a sequel, although I don't know how well the Japanese box office gross was.

Hi all!

This film did not do well in the Japanese box office. It opened in 6th place in the box office and went downhill from there, to 8th place in its second week, 12 place in its third week, and out of the top 15 by its fourth week. The public response to the film was overall fairly poor, and it was considered one of the major box office failures of 2013.

Simply put, a sequel is highly unlikely.

Why they do not do these as international productions I do not know. The interest is there but the powers that be in Japan seem reluctant to push for such productions. Now I hear Patlabor suffered the same fate. And also the upcoming Attack On Titan with an all Japanese cast. In the manga no characters but one are Japanese (and that character only part Japanese), so how are they going to do that? Wigs and blue eye contact lenses? Sounds like another disaster in the making. Seem to be no equivalent to Guillermo Del Toro in Japan...
