I feel bad for the main dude

I enjoyed watching this but seeing this relationship between them was quite confusing. At the end she says something about knowing that she can always come back I found that really arrogant of her that he might not also move on and find love elsewhere like she will in NY.

I dont think either one of them were planning to live there full time. I got the impression that he built a tiny vacation house but continues to live in his big house.

I agree, wpenley.

My reaction was, do you not know what a selfish bitch that makes you sound like?

You know what? Some people can make that work. It's important to recognize that people in a relationship might have different dreams, and that's fine. It's great when two people share a dream, but that's not always realistic. I thought it was significant that, while she dreams of living in NYC (I can definitely relate to her point of view), she chose to stay and help him with his dream, and was inspired by his vision and commitment.

This is a film about people growing and maturing, and we see two young people growing and maturing. Good for them.
