My V/H/S 2 review

Out of all the V/H/S films, this one is definitely my favorite. It's the most memorable one of them all...in my opinion anyway.

The first segment, Tape 49, was actually the most well done and at least slightly interesting opening, compared to the other two films.

The second segment, Phase 1 Clinical Trials, was really forgettable. Initially, I liked the concept. But the story went nowhere, and wasn't at all interesting nor was the main character convincing. And the overall direction of the story was rather, well...dumb.

The third segment, A Ride in the Park, was actually quite enjoyable. This segment has received a fair amount of negative reviews. But I liked it.

The fifth segment, Safe Haven, is easily the best V/H/S segment ever made. Seriously, that segment is unforgettable. It was simply amazing. I've said this before...but Safe Haven actually could've been a full length horror film, instead of being a short segment. In fact, that's my only criticism when it comes to Safe Haven. It was too short. But all in all, I really enjoyed it. That segment alone is why I favor V/H/S 2 the most.

The sixth segment, Slumber Party Alien Abduction, was actually quite enjoyable as well. Now, despite how some people claim it was the best segment...I disagree in that regard. It had some cool moments. But I don't think it was the best. But I still kinda enjoyed it.

So overall, V/H/S 2 was the best in the entire franchise. So far anyway. Maybe they'll make a better fourth installation...I don't know. I wish they would honestly. I enjoyed the franchise.

One thing I wanna point out though...it's pretty ridiculous calling the franchise V/H/S, due to the fact that almost all of the videos are in full HD, are clearly shot on modern day cameras, and are logically intended for a VHS format. That just doesn't make sense. But oh well, that's something I'm willing to overlook. lol

About the alien and demon - the costume designs really brought it down. When they show the demon say “Papa,” it looked like a low budget muppet. The aliens looked like people in Halloween costumes

The Safe Haven segment got brought down by the Indonesian setting. The people, including the headmaster / leader, didn’t look creepy or believable

This movie was a 5/10
